“ The Road Hole “

The last hole ( 9^th) is a great finishing hole – especially in matchplay if the game is all square. The bigger hitters may be tempted to go for the green, but beware, there is Out of Bounds ( OB ) running the entire length of the right hand side & through the back of the green ( the shore ). There is also trouble left – thick rough. Most people lay up with an iron, and then play a pitch over the road to the green. The green has many subtle breaks.
